More art up, porch additions AND an Unwanted Visitor...
Visitor Ejected
Robert in Unit #4 reported a sleepy little bat up in a corner near his back hallway door.
Luckily, Jill in #3 has provided a nice butterfly net (behind the chair near HER back hallway door) for just such situations.
(Thank you Jill!)
The sleepy, fuzzy cutie was a little stubborn but with a some coaxing, I was able to get him first into the net and then released (panicked but unharmed - though a bit sun dazed) into the great outdoors.
DO PLEASE check your windows to make sure that sashes have not dropped down creating an invite to critters. Also be aware, that doors propped open near sundown/sunset are a lovely invitation for these scary but helpful (...very big mosquito eaters) fellers to stop on in for a visit.
I am not at all squeamish about bats and am happy to help a neighbor any time you are being dive-bombed. It IS however a good thing for all to know where the net is stored.
Porch
A second blue wicker chair (again, thanks to Jill) has been added to the front entrance along with some very handsome cushions.
All of the soft furnishings, new rugs and furniture on the front porch are holding up well in the weather and as one resident said - "Makes the place inviting!"
Art
We are up to around 45 new items on display in common areas.
This does not include our tribute to Mr. Greene or lovely items that others have independently hung.
There is still plenty of open wall space, so feel free to add to the ambiance as you please.
I would, however, strongly suggest that you create an inventory (as I have) of anything that you have loaned for display and decor.
Here is a look at how nicely things are shaping up...
